Hey guys,
The Gonzo family will be up at the Dorsey Center at Grace on Wednesday at 4:30pm until Thursday around 3pm. Anyone from the MC is welcome to come I-HELP with us.
On Friday we are getting together at the Gonzo house. Here was Dennis’ thoughts on what we should talk about.
I thought it would be cool if we could all come with stories of how the gospel true story/whole story has been playing out in our lives. Or if not, why?
That is a sick idea. Let’s roll with it.
Anyone getting together next week? If we do, I got a couple topics that we could definitely discuss:
1. We will certainly have some content to discuss from this Sunday. I am going to tackle the fourth, fifth and sixth acts of the True Story!
2. What is our mission going to be as an MC? We don’t need to decide this week, but we do need to get praying and discussing on this topic.
I think the plan is to meet at the Senum’s house tomorrow night.
We will watch Elf.
We will figure out food when we get there.
We will go look at Christmas lights (yawn).
I am trying to connect with our family still to figure out when we will bring the gifts to them.
Finally, read the TCC blog, and make some comments.

Hey gang,
We are headed out tomorrow for a week in Memphis. I don’t know if you guys have planned out what you are doing this week, but I have an idea if you haven’t yet.
Last night we did something very different at the Sunday Gathering. It is called Storying. Basically, Kevin told the creation story in about 10 minutes. Then we spent 50 minutes dialoguing on it.
It was a blast. But the majority of our MC wasn’t there. So, I was thinking you guys could do it again together as an MC. I have an MP3 of the story that you could play. Then Meryem, Rach and Joe could lead the dialogue cuz they were there.
Let me know if you want to do this and I can get you the audio before I leave.

Hey guys. This is from an email I just got from Barb. Figured I’d post it so you all know where we are at and can be praying:
Finally go thru.
Situation: dad laid off 3 weeks ago from delta airlines – ramp agent. They were ok until then. Mom works P/T as elder care giver trying to pick up more hours. Paid appx 1/2 of $697 rent for Dec. She gets check tomorrow-usually $200-300. So plans to use for rent. Dad looking for work and they’ve contacted unemployment office awaiting next step (I understand this is a process).Needs: Help w/ rent and/or food, etc if $ used for rent. They shop at Walmart.
Gift ?’s: they would love some toys, candy-Christmas items but did not ask. Would love to recv unwrapped (maybe we could provide giftwrap) so that they could participate in the giving-whatever their traditions.
We are getting together at the Gonzalez’ House at 6:30pm
No dinner, but pizooki.
Teaching: Barb and Rachael will be teaching Joe, Nicole, Summer, and Dennis 1 Peter 2:4-10. I hear they have a cool whiteboard drawing for this too!
Discussion: 1 Peter 2:11-12. How is this the implicatation of 2:4-10? Which phrase in these verses hits you with the conviction stick?
So we have the family we are going to adopt. Here is what everyone needs to do:
1. Pray about how much you (and your family) are being called to spend on this deal (if anything).
2. Email Barb by the end of the week how much you are putting in.
3. We will take a look at that amount, and then send the shoppers out to buy the stuff in a couple weeks on a Saturday afternoon, while the rest of us watch football and hang with my kids.

Amy Sellner: Yep, The recital is at 7:30pm in Katzin Concert Hall, which is in the
ASU music building. (The smaller round building across from Gammage).
Once you’re in the music building ask almost anyone and they’ll be
able to tell you where Katzin is. (It’s in the east wing of the
building on the first floor, next to Organ Hall).
I found out that I will be unable to join you for dinner because we’re
meeting to set up and practice at about 5pm.
I’m so excited you all are coming! We had a practice today, and it’s
going to be fun

Thursday night at the Gonzalez’ house. 6:30pm. We will spend a good bit of time in silence, asking the Holy Spirit to tell us what he wants us to know and do. We’ll also spend some time praying for each other, and getting down and dirty praying for people who don’t know and live the gospel story. And, we’ll probably watch some Cardinals football and Office, too boot.
